Tony Mundell, Executive Director

I’m originally from Terre Haute, Indiana. I was born in December 1960, so you can calculate my age, if you care to. My parents and two brothers still live in Terre Haute. Although I graduated from Terre Haute North high school, I married a South grad, Joyce, in 1984. We have two daughters and one son, ages 25, 22 and 17 respectively.

My mom is a retired registered nurse who spent much of her career in long-term care. As a child and into my teen years, I spent a lot of time at the nursing community mom worked out. After doing some odd jobs for them in my early teens, I started on the “official” payroll at age 15, working in the kitchen. Although I had a few other jobs during high school and college, I seem to always keep going back to the long-term care community and that eventually sparked an interest in pursuing nursing care and senior housing administration.

I am a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Amazingly, it took me 12 years to get a four-year degree. I started college at Indiana State straight out of high school with absolutely no idea yet what to pursue. I dropped out for a while, but later went back once I decided to pursue the administration path that I noted above.

I joined Asbury Towers as Executive Director in the fall of 2013. I am very pleased to be here and I am honored to work with such a dedicated management team and extended staff.

Jennifer Lewis, Social Service Director

My name is Jennifer Lewis; I have worked at Asbury since January 2010. I started out as a night shift CNA and worked for about 2 years and then went on to be the scheduler for the Nursing department. In May 2012 I took over as the Social Service Director. Prior to coming to work at Asbury I was an Insurance Agent for 15 years. I enjoyed my job but needed a change and when my dad became sick I went into the health care field. I have a beautiful Daughter Brittany who lives in Nashville TN and attends school there. My handsome son Dakota works full time while going to ISU and being in the national guards.

I really enjoy my job and the satisfaction I get out of helping all of our residents. I went back to school and got my associates degree in 2005 and I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree for Business Management.

Debbie White, Business Manager

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA where I met my husband of 35 years, Ken. Ken is an ASE Certified diesel mechanic and has been employed at FedEx since 1991. We have two daughters; Tiffany is a Putnam County recipient of the Ely Lilly Scholarship and graduated from DePauw University in 2003. Tiffany is employed as a Certified Financial Planner with Halter-Ferguson Financial in Indianapolis where she and her husband reside. Jessica is a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and is employed at US Bank as a Risk, Audit & Compliance Analyst in Cincinnati where she and her husband reside.

Prior to joining Asbury in September 2012, I worked six years as an office manager at Pershing & Company, CPA’s where I oversaw the daily operations of a CPA firm; and eight years as a payroll specialist with Payroll Express which was owned and operated by Gary Pershing of Pershing & Company. After the passing of Mr. Pershing, his payroll company was sold to ADP. In the interim, I continued working at Pershing & Company. In December 2011, ADP requested an interview and I accepted the position of customer service representative for their Midwest region. In my short tenure at ADP, I received several awards and was one of just a handful in the Midwest who achieved the FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certificate). After nine months with ADP, I realized the three-hour daily commute was not for me. It was at my daughter’s wedding in Cincinnati in August 2012 that I heard that Asbury was hiring...four weeks later I was back home again in Greencastle.

Julie Dozier, Activities Director

Hello, my name is Julie Dozier and I am the Activity Director here at Asbury Towers. I was hired in February, 2010 and received my certification in August of 2010. I was raised in Reelsville next door to my Grandparents and attended South Putnam High School graduating in 1988. After graduation I went to Indiana Business College. I married my husband in 1990 and have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter. When I am not working or busy with my family my favorite pastimes are quilting, gardening, walking, and reading. Kris Beck, Human Resource Director

Hi! My name is Kris Beck and I serve as the human resources director here at Asbury Towers. I joined Asbury in December 2012 and work on projects such as staff recruitment, benefits administration, policy development, leadership development, and other fun and interesting things.

Prior to joining the team at Asbury Towers I had the pleasure of working with the Sisters of Providence on the campus of Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana where I worked for several years as a human resources generalist. While there, I pursued and completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on human resource management and psychology from Saint Mary of the Woods College.

I’m originally from a small farming community in southern Indiana, where I grew up on a family farm with my grandparents, parents and two sisters. I enjoyed the small-town environment, yet a few years after graduating high school I moved to Evansville, Indiana to be closer to work. Here I met Dave, my husband, and after living in Evansville for a few years, we relocated to the Terre Haute area in 1995 for Dave’s work and then moved to the Brazil/Staunton area in 2001, where we currently reside.

I have many hobbies and enjoy gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. I’m a Vigo County Master Gardener, a member of the Vigo County Herb Society and a Providence Associate at Sisters of Providence.

Jake Hodges, Director of Maintenance

Hello, my name is Jake Hodges I started with Asbury Towers in August of 2012. I was a maintenance tech until July of 2016 as I was given an opportunity to expand my role into leadership as Director of Maintenance. I grew up in a small town in Indiana named Paragon. I lived there with my parents and younger brother until I met my beautiful wife Robyn. We currently live on the “out skirts” of Cloverdale, In where we are raising two wonderful boys ages seven and four. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family camping and being outdoors. My top two favorite hobbies are hunting and fishing.

I really enjoy working at Asbury Towers and enjoy the field that I am in. I love “fixing” things and problem solving. So if you need anything fixed or a problem solved stop by my office and talk to me. My office is located on the ground floor 2 doors west of the exercise room. I look forward to seeing you!

Justin Homler, Director of Dining Services

I joined the Asbury Towers team in February 2013. I have three wonderful Children. Dane who was born July 2004. Lola Camille, born October 2006 and Jaxon, born September 2012. I was born in Sandusky, Ohio in July 1973. My family relocated to Greencastle, Indiana in 1982. I fell in love with cooking, watching and helping my Mother in the kitchen when I was very young. I began working in my first professional kitchen while I was a senior at Greencastle High School. I trained under a Master Chef from Ireland for six years and earned a technical certificate in Catering and Gourmet Cooking also my first role as an Executive Chef in 1997. I am currently enrolled in my Certified Dietary Manager Course with Auburn University. I am bringing my passion for food and twenty-two years of professional experience, I hope you enjoy!

Michelle Collins, Marketing/Admissions Director

I am a Putnam County native; I have lived on my grandmother’s farm just outside of Putnamville for 30 years. I attended South Putnam High school and received my Associates Degree in Business Management from Ivy Tech Community College, after that I transferred to Western Governors University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a Health Care concentration. I have worked in various capacities at Asbury Towers for the last 11 years. I began my journey here as a C.N.A in April of 2005 and have done several different things since then.

I live alone with my two dogs, Phoebe a 5lbs Japanese Chin and Poodle mix and Momma, a 240lbs English Mastiff. I have one brother, Jacob who also lives on the farm with his wife and kids. I have two nieces (7 and 8 years old) and one nephew (3 years old); they occupy a lot of my free time and they love spending time with their “aunt Chelle”.

I love my family here at Asbury Towers and I am very proud to work for such a great community. I look forward to getting to know you better and assisting you in any way that I can. Lisa Steele, Environmental Supervisor

I was born and raised in Kokomo, In. I moved to Greencastle 27 years ago. I have 1 daughter Chelsea and a grandson Malaki. I have 10 years’ experience in management and 20 years’ experience in Human resources.

I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family and friends when not working.

I joined Asbury in October 2015. I have enjoyed every moment and everyone here. I hope to be here for many years.
